-
Have students come in and sit on their riser spots
-
Call on 3-5 students to share good things. Just something good going on in their lives.
-
These kids had a concert last week, so today they get to watch and complete a worksheet. For the worksheet, have them each get a paper, whiteboard, box of crayons, and a pencil. Then, they should draw a picture of themselves at the concert or just of the concert in general. Then, they should trace the words and complete the sentence to write their favorite part of the performance. They can do this while they watch the concert video.

Game: Doggie, Doggie: (If you need something when the video is done)
-
Students sit in a circle. One student is picked to be the doggie in the center of the circle. They’ll close their eyes. You’ll then pick one student to hold the bone - ours is broken here so just use a whiteboard marker. Then, tell the class to hide their hands. The class will sing “Doggie, Doggie where’s your bone?” The dog will sing “Someone took it from my home.” Then the class sings “Who took the bone?” Then, you’ll tell the doggie to sing to three kids who they think took their bone. [“John did you take my bone?” And then either “Yes, I did” or “No, I didn’t”] After two incorrect guesses, you give the dog a hint [“you’re on the right track, the person who took your bone has black shoes on” or something similar] Remind the class that only you get to give hints!
